Star Fox Zero is an upcoming 3D scrolling shooter video game focused around aircraft battles, developed by Nintendo and PlatinumGames. The game will be released exclusively for the Wii U platform. It is the sixth game in the Star Fox franchise.
Star Fox Zero will be available in December, 2015 for Wii U.
Star Fox Zero release date: December, 2015
Star Fox Zero has been exclusively designed to take full advantage of Wii U’s control system. While the main action is displayed on the TV, the GamePad provides an indoor view of the cockpit, allowing you to aim more accurately with the gyro controls of the GamePad.
It takes time to get used to the unique control system, but you can simply switch between the different angles by quick tapping the button on the GamePad. This is especially helpful when you’re in all-range mode, as it means you don’t need to look down at the GamePad screen to find the target.

The controls have also been simplified, as you can use both analog sticks to fly, while the four face buttons are used for shooting, initiating transformations and executing U-turns, etc.
It’s not about airborne dogfights, though, as Star Fox Zero presents a few new takes to the game’s familiar set of vehicles. The Arwing, for example, can now land and transform into a robotic bird named as the Walker, while the Land Master tank can drift for a short time to traverse short gaps. New to Star Fox Zero’s arsenal is the Gyrowing, a type of helicopter for stable all-range shooting. You can still do a barrel roll in all of the three vehicles, letting you strafe across the screen to safety while avoiding enemy fire.
Following are some popular main characters in the Star Fox Zero game:
• Star Fox
• Star Wolf
Other characters returning from Star Fox 64 3D are Caiman and Granga.
Star Fox Zero’s reaction was negative regarding its graphics. They are not that good as they should be in this era of gaming. According to Star Fox Zero News, a reason explained is that the game isn’t trying to have the best graphics, it has adapted ones instead. Star Fox Zero has the theme of Star Fox 64, modernized. The character models most likely look “worse” than in Star Fox Assault. That tells us that it is an intentional choice on Nintendo’s part.
Star Fox Zero trailer shows a combination of classic environments of the game. There are also new vehicles shown, for example, the classic Arwing, the Gyrowing, the Walker, and the Landmaster tank. Star Fox Zero’s transformations feature is also shown in the trailer.
