Fallout 4 is a highly popular game right now, which is only on the path of receiving the future DLCs. However, game fans have already thought about future of the game series (probably earlier than game devs itself). According to hardcore Fallout game series fans, along with ordinary gamers, 4th part is not a masterpiece, there are plenty of things to improve. Some of them could be fixed only in Fallout 5.
The 4th part has pretty interesting in terms of the very beginning of the game – a little bit of a pre-war period. This might be expanded to make feel a more complicated and well-directed story. How about some introduction to the concept of vaults?
What could make Fallout 5 cooler is the detailed story for the main character? It is almost impossible for an RPG-based game, but what if this story would be generated on the basis of perks chosen in the very beginning?
Advanced Companions and Co-op mode
In the current Fallout games, companions are invincible and… nearly useless, except the obvious mission of carrying all junk you pick up, and some help in combats. This is obviously not enough, companions abilities should be expanded and vary – that could be more interesting and realistic feature.
However, the AI is not the best option for a companion – cooperative mode with a real player could be the best feature of a future game. That’s what players are really needed for quite a long time.
That’s a problem not only for Fallout or any other RPG game but also for some action open-world games as well. The thing is – there are too many filler quests no one bothers. That makes game boring and sometimes spoil an overall good feeling of the game.
Fallout 5 should go a bit away from parent The Elder Scrolls game series mechanics, such as plenty of side quests.
One more thing – Fallout games have been always featured mad and diverse creations, while the current game monsters feel and look too templet.
Of course, it’s not the full list of features needs to be improved in the next Fallout game – feel free to propose your own ideas in the comments section below.
