Even though Devil May Cray is one of the most recognizable series by Capcom the company doesn’t seem to be bothered about releasing the fifth part. Nevertheless, many fans are still enthusiastic about new DMC because Capcom can make new part a sequel to the existing storyline or reboot the whole franchise. Developers don’t confirm these rumors but don’t reject them either. So there’s a gleam of hope to see DMC 5 one day.
Are there any reasons to expect new Devil May Cry 5 or it’s just rumors? In fact there some hints. One of them is a leak from Nils Hognestad’s resume in which DMC 5 is included. A voice actor Johnny Young Bosh has posted a photo on which he wears a headset. It made fans believe that there’s a hope. However, hardly can we expect one of the most popular slashers soon. Since Capcom is busy with Resident Evil 7 it’s unlikely to see DMC 5 in 2017. Developers also work on content for Street Fighter 5. So if new Devil May Cry 5 comes it won’t happen any earlier than 2018.
Capcom stays vague about developments of the new Devil May Cry. They don’t give any details to prove that Devil May Cry 5 is development. Neither do they reject this information which means that there’s something to hope for.
Leaks continue to tease fans of the series. One of the most recent one is Nils Hognestad’s resume. He has included Devil May Cry 5 in it as well. Why should he do it without a reason? It would be illogical at least. So this reason makes us believe that the game will still come.
PlayStation Life Style also reports some news. According to them one of the fans got an answer from Capcom Vancouver to the question about new part of DMC. The answer is that Devil May Cry 5 isn’t the game they’re working on currently. However it doesn’t mean that they’re not going to start working on it later.
Another hint at new DMC which is highly discussed today is connected with a voice actor photo. Johnny Young Bosh has posted a picture of himself and another voice actor known as Ruben Langdon. The picture shows them both wearing headsets. They were also spotted in motion capture suits which makes fans believe that both actors do work on new Devil May Cry 5.
Capcom stays secret and doesn’t leak any demos or videos concerning their new Devil May Cry. It may well mean that the game is not in development yet. Fans are already making fake demos claiming it’s a new DMC 5 which isn’t true. Some of the most popular fake videos are here:
