In Devil May Cry 5, players take control of Dante as he fights against evil enemies with his weapons and powers. Dante can perform various attack combos by using different weapons including Rebellion, sword, and twin pistols. There are two combat modes in the game: Angel Mode and Devil Mode. In Angel mode, sword attacks of Dante transform into a rapid scythe like weapon called the Osiris, whereas Devil mode allows the use of an axe called Arbiter, which is slow but relatively more powerful.
Dante can pull himself in the direction of enemies as well as other points in some levels using the Angel mode whereas Devil mode allows Dante to pull various objects as well as enemies towards him. Dante can use a special power known as Devil Trigger, which slows time and lifts enemies in the air, allowing Dante to perform powerful attacks.
