Cradle is a first person sci-fi fantasy video game published and developed by Flying Cafe for Semianimals. The game is designed for the players to explore the surrounding world. Cradle was released on 24 July, 2015 via Steam.
Cradle is a first person sci-fi fantasy video game which focuses on the freedom of movement concept. The story revolves around the relations of the player and a mechanical girl, who by mysterious circumstances find themselves in a yurt surrounded by Mongolian hills. The player must find all the lost mechanical parts of her mechanical friend and restore her functionality and uncover the mystery of an entertainment park nearby the yurt.
As a player, you will likely do missions and mini games and through the gameplay, you will experience the world around you. The gameplay is very atmospheric but also very puzzling. Cradle does not tell you anything, you have to uncover the story yourself. You can interact with a lot of objects in the game.
Cradle is all about journey. The gameplay environment is full with pieces of information and scraps of paper scattered around the game world. To truly enjoy the game, you must interact with as many objects in the game as you can to get all the details of the story. Many gamers find Cradle ending unexplained and sudden. The most understandable ending is that you get transported into the center of the city. The city is futuristic, and transistors are used to make the city. When you place it back, as a part of you is inside the transistor, you get transported once again into the center of the city. Once you get there, you find that Royce is also there with a transistor, and therefore both characters fight to see who gains control of the city.
Soundtrack contains an hour and a half of music including the electronic tracks, vocal compositions, and meditative ambient.
