Battleborn is an upcoming first-person shooter video game published by 2K Games and developed by Gearbox Software for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows. Battleborn is the first intellectual property developed by Gearbox Software since Borderlands.

Battleborn will be released on 3 May, 2016.
Battleborn trailer shows plenty of gameplay and how players will be able to enjoy different characters’ abilities and fantastic powers, as well as use old-fashioned guns to defeat hordes of enemies.
The trailer demonstrates different ways in which players will be able to cause mayhem in Battleborn, including several modes like solo play, split-screen co-op, online co-op, and competitive modes. The trailer also uncovers four new playable characters: Reyna, Benedict, Melka, and Ambra.
There will be 25 playable characters in the game, each having different weapons and abilities. Not all characters have been officially revealed yet.
Following are some noticeable characters and their abilities:
Rath of the Jennerit Empire: Rath uses sword like weapons and is a close combat specialist.
Oscar Mike: Oscar Mike prefers long ranged combat style and is an expert of air strikes and firearms.
Thistle of the Eldrid: Thorn is a skilled archer and carries a magical bow which is infused with many strange powers.
Battleborn will feature a first-person shooter gameplay along with online multiplayer battle elements. However, the gameplay perspective is switchable to a third-person perspective to use special abilities and powers of characters.
The gameplay mechanics of Battleborn is identical to that of MOBA games, with the main difference of gameplay perspective being shifted from the classic top down view to a first person view. The game features 25 playable characters divided in various classes. According to Gearbox, the game is mainly focused on characters above everything else. And the hero characters are known as, The Battleborn.
The main objective of the game is to team up with other heroes and stop the “unstoppable menace” along with other evil forces. The team-based element of the game is prominent because it features 5 vs. 5 mode. Players will start the game on a level playing field and the story will be based on 20 level skill path.
The main game mode is a multi-chapter, story-driven campaign where players will be able to choose from 25 different characters divided in various classes sworn to protect the planet called Solus. And the main charm of Battleborn are those characters and their various power ups and abilities that make the game an interesting new release.
In depth plot elements of the game are still unknown, however, we do know that the game features a futuristic world where multiple races are planning to take control of the last start in the universe and the heroes of the game are determined to stop them. Battleborn is said to have a “deep narrative campaign” which will make the players want to play the game in a single player mode.
