Batman destiny has always had a special place in video games. This story is so popular that it doesn’t come as a surprise that Batman has become a pioneer of the virtual reality.
Batman Arkham VR Release Date
Batman’s arrival to virtual reality has been anticipated. Everyone wanted to try fighting mode along with other features. Release came on October 2016. The game has received controversial reviews. Batman Arkham VR price isn’t much higher in comparison to standard games. Around $20. If you want to see Batman Arkham VR demo process of playing, try this link:
Batman Arkham VR Gameplay
Gamers were eager to try themselves inside of Batman with VR version. PS controllers help to interact with environment. Typically for the story you need to do a lot of detective work searching for clues. You can stand face to face with all the characters which is a good beginning for virtual reality. Using detective devices literally at your hand is an exciting experience. Combat mode isn’t that wide. The only hand-to-hand fight doesn’t require your participation.
It’s not really a VR experience we expected, at least for Batman franchise. We love Batman Arkham game series for a great combination of fast, impressive action and perfect storyline. Arkham VR is really the weakest part in many aspects. It might be cool for Playstation VR demo, but as a full price game… it’s lack of action so much, that devs would better make fighting scenes as a cutscene, or 3-rd person view (with Heavy Rain-like controls) rather than cut it at all. Arkham VR is only a matter of solving not-so-complicated puzzles which makes Batman experience really boring.
Batman Arkham Knight Xbox One
Rocksteady Studios has also released Batman: Arkham Knight. The last part of the trilogy was created for next-gen consoles. You can try here unique variant of Batmobile. The rest of the gameplay is rather typical for the trilogy including classical combat system. The main villain here is Scarecrow.
Batman Arkham Origins Xbox One
Is Batman Arkham Origins on Xbox One? Yes, there’s. It’s good to know that Batman Arkham for Xbox One includes Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City running in 1080p. Developers find such approach more beneficial. It attracts more gamers to Batman Arkham series released for Xbox One. It’s interesting to play it. Batman Arkham Xbox One gameplay focuses on detective aspect again. The whole Gotham city is opened for you to travel around by Batman’s cape. Batman uses his gadgets such as grapnel gun and others. Combat system includes classical combos. The whole series of Batman Arkham for Xbox One supports backwards compatibility. So, can Batman Arkham city work on Xbox one? Sure. The question is will Batman Arkham VR be on Xbox One? It’s unlikely to happen because the game may lose its key features.
Batman Arkham Origins PS4
The series has also been released for PS4. We do think that Arkham Origins is the most atmospheric part of this story. Along with city all opened and numerous combat features Rocksteady have made this game as the most standing out one. When Batman Arkham Knight was released for PS4 it didn’t live up to the expectations. It wasn’t much different from previous part. Batman Arkham Asylum for PS4 wasn’t bad but it lacked uniqueness too. Anyway Batman Arkham City series for PS4 has left a mark in the history. Batman Arkham games released for PS4 do have an atmosphere of mystery. It goes without saying that Batman Arkham PS4 gameplay is less interactive than VR one but it’s more dynamic which is an advantage.
Batman Arkham Xbox 360
The series for consoles of previous generation was closer to original dark knight. Batman Arkham City for Xbox 360 was the first part of the series where you could try such features as interesting combat system with wide stealth options. When Batman Arkham Origins came for Xbox 360 gamers it wasn’t a breakthrough. It mainly imitated the features of the first part. The same goes to Batman Arkham Asylum for Xbox 360 which was a good game but without serious changes.
